Information for new Families



All students are expected to be at school between 8.15 and  8.30am, ready to commence the school day at 8.30am. Attendance is monitored closely and parents will be contacted if there are any concerns.

If students are genuinely ill, obviously the best place for them is to rest at home so they can make a quick recovery. Please ring to report an absence.


Cyclists must have passed their cycling proficiency, wear helmets and have a lock to secure their bicycle.


Key Stage 2 students are encouraged to be involved in consultations which are 5 times during the year. The consultations are a conversation between student, parent and teacher, focused on recent learning and the setting of targets in Reading, Writing and Mathematics.


The School Newsletter produced termly is accessed via the school website . It is produced to inform you of the happenings in the school. In addition, paper copies are available upon request.

Student Phones

Mobile phones are allowed on the school site. However, these must be handed to the class teacher at the beginning of the school day (for safe keeping) and will returned at the end of the day .


Our school uniform is available to purchase from either the school or Lyndale Sports in Trinity.  Items such as girls dresses and boys trousers are also available from a variety of High Street retailers in St Helier or online (

We have two uniforms during the year. Summer uniform is from the start of Summer term (after Easter) until the end of September and the Winter uniform is from the beginning of October until the end of the Spring term. For a list of uniform requirements, please see the uniform section in our school handbook.

The PE kit is also available from school or Lyndale sports. The PE uniform consists of a white polo shirt (school name printed on the front), bottle green shorts and a black tracksuit (with the school logo). In Reception Class, the children are asked to bring their PE kit with them to school to change into.  In Years 1,2,3,4,5 & 6 the children are required to wear their PE uniform to school on PE days.

Hair must be tied up if it is below the collar. No jewellery is to be worn except for one gold or silver stud earring in each ear. Sleepers may be worn.
